This driver is pretty old, around the 2.0.18 era. The dos driver probably contains the stuff that you need to make the linux driver work.
I didn't write this, the original author's contact info is in the file, but he gave this to me about 4 years ago, so I doubt he remembers much about it either.
I think when I was testing the driver, it did produce interrupts for me.
