Linux on the IBM 730T

I've got an IBM 730T pen tablet with a 100 meg PCMCIA hard drive and 16 megs of RAM. In the very near future I'll be trying to get Linux installed on it.

The current plan is to use a newer kernel with pcmcia support built in. The redhat 6.1 install kinda halfway worked if you would boot from their boot floppy with

linux initrd=initrd.img pcmcia hdc=noprobe hdd=noprobe

Then anaconda complained that it couldn't find a device to install to, even though there actually was. Hmmm.
